When God Gets Involved

Scripture:

II Chronicles 14:11. “Then Asa cried out to the Lord his God, “O Lord, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty! Help us, O Lord our God, for we trust in you alone. It is in your name that we have come against this vast horde. O Lord, you are our God; do not let mere men prevail against you!””

Observation:

Asa saw an Ethiopian army of a million men coming against them.  He knew there was no way they could defeat this size army unless God was involved.  Asa cried out to God.  He told the Lord that they were powerless agains this army, but that his trust was in the Lord.  He asked the Lord to step in and get involved in this battle.  The Lord did, and they routed a million man army.

Application:

When God gets involved in the situation, the outcome will always be in His favor.  He never loses a battle and never is defeated by an enemy.  When God says you will win, you will win!  When God gets involved, the enemy will ruin the other way.  No matter what we are going through that seems impossible, if we get God involved on our side, we will defeat every foe.

Prayer:

Lord, let me be reminded of who You are.  Help me to never be intimidated by any adversary, but to follow You completely knowing You never fail and never lose.  Help me to hear Your voice and respond accordingly.
