DO What He Says

 Scripture:

“You see and recognize what is right but refuse to act on it. You hear with your ears, but you don’t really listen.””  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42‬:‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

God is speaking here through Isaiah and tells the people of Israel that they see what is right, but don’t do it and they hear, but don’t really listen. God isn’t impressed with us seeing and hearing what we should do. He is impressed when we DO what we see needs done and DO what we hear in His word.

Application:

It is important in our lives to follow James’ words when he said that we shouldn’t just hear the word, but DO the word because then we are deceiving ourselves. As a believer, I must be a person of action. I have to DO the things I know He wants me to DO and to speak the things I know He wants me to speak. I have to be a person of action and not just seeing and hearing. We must do what we see and hear or our seeing and hearing is in vain.

Prayer:

Lord God Almighty, forgive me for the times I have heard, but not done things You have asked me to do. Forgive me for the times I have seen what needed done and did nothing about it. Help me to be a person of action and to lead Your people well. Show me the way forward and help me to communicate to others the importance of being people of action. Let my life be a life of obedience to all You speak to me.

Yours,

Jeff

So All Will Know

 Scripture:

“Now, O Lord our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O Lord, are God.””  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭37‬:‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

King Hezekiah was about to be attacked by the kings of Assyria. They sent a message saying they were going to come in and destroy Israel. When Hezekiah heard this, he went to the Lord and cried out to Him. In his prayer, he said, “rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O Lord, are God.”

Application:

God wants the world to know of His salvation and how He treats those who are His. Just like Hezekiah prayed, we must pray and put our trust in the Lord. He is able to do whatever is necessary. When we make sure the ends of the earth know our God, He will fight our battles and defend us against every enemy. We must put God’s will and God’s ways ahead of our own and let the world know how good He is to His people.

Prayer:

Father, let my life bring Your glory. Help me to follow You well and to accomplish all You want in and through my life. Teach me to follow You well. Through my life, let the nations know how awesome You are! Let the world know You are God and there is no other god like You. Rise up and show Yourself strong on behalf of Your people so that the world may see Your power and Your glory. Let Your name be praised in every nation of the earth.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

Faith Over Fear

 Scripture;

“Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.””  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Over and over in Scripture the Lord tells His people, “Be strong and do not fear.” In this passage, the Lord tells them that He is coming to destroy their enemies and He is coming to save them. Do not fear is a constant through the Bible. God never wants His children to walk in fear. Fear and faith cannot co-exist. When we operate in fear, we are not walking in faith. When we operate in faith, we will not fear.

Application:

I need to be a person of faith and never fear. Fear paralyzes us from doing what God is calling us to do. My job is to be strong and not fear. God’s job is to defeat my enemies and save me. My job us to trust God, His job is to take care of me. I must be a person of faith and never operate in fear. I need to trust God in every area of my life.

Prayer:

Father, You are good and Your mercies are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness! You are greater, stronger, higher, bigger, and more powerful than any enemy that could come toward me. Help me to realize just how awesome You are. Teach me to walk in confidence in You and Your word. I want to hear Your voice above all else and fulfill Your will in all things.

Jeff

Generosity

 Scripture:

“But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭32‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah was going against the practices of those who were greedy for money. He was telling them that their ways would never work. In doing that, he says that generous people plan to do what is generous and that they stand firm in the generosity.

Application:

Generous people are usually the happiest people I know. Their accountants can argue with them and tell them to stop giving so much, but they always stand strong in their generosity. Why? Because they understand the blessing of living a generous life. They also understand that Kingdom finances don’t operate like the finances of this world. Scripturally, those who give more, receive more. Those who take care of the poor, never lack.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to walk in generosity more and more. Help me to live a life You can bless in every way. Teach me what it means to plan to do what s generous and then stand firm in my generosity. Move me to the next level of generosity in my life. I want to give more and more to Your kingdom.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

God is Waiting for Us

 Scripture:

“So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬

Observation:

The prophet had been telling of God’s impending doom coming to His people.. He says something powerful in this passage. He says the Lord is waiting for Israel to come to Him so He could show them love and compassion because God is faithful. God is seen here as waiting on His people to turn to Him because He wants to bless them, but they have to turn so He waits.

Application:

Why keep God waiting? I want to be a person who does what the Lord says and doesn’t hold him up waiting for me to get things right so He can bless me. God wants to bless us, our job is to get in alignment with Him and His will, then we can wait for His blessings, which are incredible. Sometimes it feels like we are waiting on Him to bless us when in reality He is waiting on us.

Prayer:

Father, you are a good, good, Father. Thank You for loving Your people so much! Help me not to have any area of disobedience in my life. I want to always say yes to You. Thanks for highlighting this verse today. You are waiting to bless me, but not because of You, but because of me. Align my life so I can walk in Your complete and total blessing.

Eternal Rock

 Scripture:

“Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah tells us here to trust in the Lord, not sometimes, not once in a while, but always. He then gives an explanation of why, because he is the eternal rock. When I think of an eternal rock, I think of something that is never going to move. I think of something that is not moved by storms, hurricanes, disasters, etc.

Application:

When I think of the Lord as my eternal rock, I think He is someone I can trust never to move. He is a strong foundation to build my life upon. When storms of life come, He is not overwhelmed or moved by them. He can the trusted to weather any storm, battle, etc. I need to trust the eternal rock more and more in my life. He’s not moving anywhere.

Prayer:

Lord, my eternal rock, You are faithful, reliable, never wavering, and always the same. You are trustworthy and not shaken by things around me. Help me to trust You more and when I am shaken by the storms of life, let me remember that You are never shaken and therefore, I don’t have to be shaken by my surroundings.

Yours,

Jeff

Thunder and Tumbleweeds

 Scripture:

“But though they thunder like breakers on a beach, God will silence them, and they will run away. They will flee like chaff scattered by the wind, like a tumbleweed whirling before a storm.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭17‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah is speaking here about the enemies of Israel thundering against them and instilling fear. He continues by saying that God will silence them and make them run away like chaff or tumbleweed. In other words, they may sound terrifying, but God will blow them away.

Application:

Sometimes in our lives, the enemy tries to make things seem insurmountable. He will thunder through situations and circumstances that you will never survive. The reality is that God can, and will, blow his attacks away like chaff or tumbleweed. Satan’s attacks on us always appear bigger than they are, but God can blow Satan away like the wind blows tumbleweed.

Prayer:

Father, let me walk in confidence that You are my defender and that, no matter how loud the enemy roars, You will blow him away. When the enemy comes in, like a flood, raise up a standard against him in my life. Let me know that You will blow away my enemies and prosper my life. When the enemy roars loud, roar louder.

Prophecy Fulfilled

 Scripture:

“The nations of the world will help the people of Israel to return, and those who come to live in the Lord’s land will serve them. Those who captured Israel will themselves be captured, and Israel will rule over its enemies.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah prophesied about 2700 years ago and his prophecy is being fulfilled in my generation. In 1948 Israel became and nation and people began to return to their homeland who had been scattered around the world. Today, groups from all over the world literally help Jews get back to Israel. These words are being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Application:

When God says something… It will come to pass! When we hear prophetic words, we usually look for immediate answers, but God can speak something years before it will ever happen. We must be patient with the prophetic words spoken over our lives. I need to know deeper and stronger that the words the Lord has spoken will come to pass.

Prayer:

Father, fulfill every prophetic word over my life, our church, our family, etc. Let us see the day of fulfillment. Give me patience to wait for Your words to come to pass as well. Help me with faith and patience to inherent the promises You have made to me.

Your Son,

Jeff

Like Waters Fill the Ocean

 Scripture:

“Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭11‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah prophesies here that the earth will one day be filled with people who know the Lord like that waters fill the sea. This prophetic word has been coming to pass at greater and greater measures in the past several decades. There are now people who know the Lord throughout the earth. What started as a small seed, has become a global movement that is touching the world.

Application:

This is a prophetic word we get to take part in. It is happening right now around the world, we are here in this special season to help extend the Kingdom of God globally into every tribe, language, and nation. God is covering the earth with those seeking Him as we prepare for the return of Christ. Our part is to work in the harvest until he returns.

Prayer:

Father, I commit my life to Your purposes. Use me in Your harvest fields. Let me be a help to the extension of Your kingdom here and around the world. Teach me to work in step with You to let the earth be covered with those who know You like the waters fill the ocean.

Your Son,

Jesus Takes Care of it All

 Scripture:

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah grace a prophetic utterance concerning the Messiah that was to come. He said about Jesus that He would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. These terms describe Jesus so accurately 700 years before He came. He truly is a wonderful counselor who shows us what to do. He is the Mighty God who is all-powerful. He is the Everlasting Father, who loves us unconditionally, and He is the Prince of Peace who bring peace into our troubled lives.

Application:

When I need a counselor, His name is Jesus. When I need a powerful God, His name is Jesus. When I need acceptance, His name is Jesus. When I need peace in my life, His name is Jesus. Jesus is the cornerstone of my life. He is everything we need for life on this planet. When we come to Him, things change.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for always being more than enough. Thank You for sending Your Son so I could have life and abundant life. You have been good to me all the days of my life. Help me to live a life that pleases You and bring You glory and honor. You are my everything.

Yours,

Jeff

Blessed in Famine

 Scripture:

“Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned! But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Isaiah gives double prophecy in this passage. He gives a word to the godly and tells them that all will be well for them and they will enjoy the rich reward they have earned. He turns and gives a word to the wicked and tells them they are doomed and will get what they deserve. In the midst of punishing the wicked, God can bless His own and prosper them.

Application:

God is able to bless His people in the midst of famine, persecution, pestilence, and even His own judgment. He can bring calamity on the unrighteousness and bless His own at the very Same time. God can bless His children while the rest of the world is suffering His wrath. In Egypt, many of the plagues touched all of Egypt except where God’s people were gathered. We must trust and serve God, knowing He can bless us in the midst of troubling times.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to trust You more. You are not on a fiscal budget and limited by recessions in government. You are not limited by GDPs and other limiting factors. I ask You to bless my life. Bless my family.  Bless the church I lead. Bless the ministry I lead. In the midst of difficult financial times, let us see Your greatest blessing.

Yours,

Jeff

Loved and Claimed

 Scripture:

“I am my lover’s, and he claims me as his own.”  ‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭7‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Many view Song of Songs as a romance novel about erotic love. Some, especially those of old, interpreted  it as a love song about God’s relationship with His people. They would say it speaks of God’s incredible love for His bride, the Church. If we view it that way, then this passage would remind me that I am God’s and He claims me as His own.

Application:

Feeling loved and claimed by someone is so important to our self worth and value as a person. In our walk with God, we can rest assured that He loves us, we belong to Him and He claims us. Even when we mess up, He claims us. He doesn’t walk away when we cause trouble. He doesn’t kick us out as His lover. He claims us. That should give us great confidence and self worth in life. We should also offer this to those we love. Our spouses should know they are ours and that we claim them, desire them, and want to be with them.

Prayer:

Father, You are awesome and Your love is incredible. You claim me, even though I have failed You many times. You love me even though I don’t deserve it. You are the best and I offer You my life completely in response to Your unfathomable love.

Forever Yours,

Jeff

Forever Seeking

 Scripture:

"So I said to myself, 'I will get up and roam the city, searching in all its streets and squares. I will search for the one I love.' So I searched everywhere but did not find him." Song of Songs 3:2

Observation:

This is definitely a picture of lovers seeking each other out, but I also see a spiritual connotation. Last week I preached about seeking God and finding Him when you seek for Him with all your heart. As Solomon spoke of the woman searching for her lover, I want to search and seek for God in a similar manner.

Application:

I need to seek God more in my life. I need to get up and roam the city, the streets, and squares, searching for the one I love. We need to get more desperate for God in our lives. As I said Sunday, we have as much of God as we want because He promises to let Himself be found by us when we seek Him with all our hearts. As for me, just like in marriage, I want to pursue my Lord all the days of my life and never slow down.

Prayer:

Father, I run after You this morning. I need You in my life in ever-increasing ways. I need Your guidance, direction, vision, and Your knowledge. I want to walk in step with the Spirit at all times, but I need to hear Your voice. Open my ears and eyes to hear and see what You are doing around me. Help me to lead Your people well and to be an example of one who desperately pursues the Lord.

Forever Seeking,

Jeff

Live What You Teach

 Scripture:

“Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Paul tells his spiritual son, Timothy, here to closely watch how he lives and what he teaches, not only for his own salvation, but for those who hear him. Our teaching, preaching, and lives must be consistent with what we teach. If not, it can affect, not only our lives, but those who are under our care.

Application:

Our lives matter. People are being influenced by what they see in our lives. We must give people something real. We must give people something that is working for us and that is doctrinally sound. How we live cannot be different from what we teach. They must reflect each other and our teaching must be demonstrated through our lives. Then, and only then, do we have truly good teaching.

Prayer:

Father, help me to live what I teach at all times. Let Your Word work in my life so others can see Your goodness. Let me live a life others can read and observe. Show me how to live in such a way that my teachings are reflected in my life, and therefore more powerful. I don’t want to preach what I cannot live. Help me to live well.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

Prefect Timing May Never Come

Scripture:

“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

The author tells us use that waiting for he perfect conditions is foolish because if a farmer waited for perfect weather, the seed would never go in the ground. If a farmer waits for the perfect day to harvest, noting would get harvested. Sometimes we have to do things at inconvenient times and situations don’t look perfect, but it still needs done.

Application:

If there are decisions that need made or work that needs done, waiting for the perfect timing doesn’t work because the timing will never be perfect. We use sometimes step out and do what we know God wants us to do, whether the timing and situation presents itself ass perfect or not. There may never be a good time to do the right thing. We need to just do it.

Prayer:

Father, help me not to make excuses, but to bring You glory with my thoughts and actions. Teach me to follow You with all my heart soul, mind, and strength. You are my rock and my fortress. Help me to do the right thing at all times, whether the timing seems perfect or not. Lead me, guide me, direct me, and teach me to trust You more each day.

Yours Son,

Jeff

Think About Death

 Scripture:

“A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Solomon declares here that wise people think a lot about the end of their lives, but fools only want to have a good time. When we focus on the end of our lives, we get a destination point and work toward that point. It is foolish to just wander through life having a good time but going nowhere.

Application:

Thinking about death means thinking about eternity. How and where do we wan to spend eternity? Those questions need to be thought about more often. I want my life to make an impact for eternity for many people. When I die, I want to go to heaven with a shout and lots of souls that have come to Jesus. When I think about eternity, everything else falls into place and priorities get re-organized.

Prayer:

Father, help me to think about death more often rather than just trying to enjoy life. Be with my mom today, who has been facing death the last couple days. Help me to stay focused on eternity throughout my days and to keep a right heart at all times.

Your Son For Eternity,

Jeff

Stand Firm and Get a Grip

 Scripture:

“With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter.”  ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Paul encourages the Thessalonians to stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching they had received from him in person and by letter. He starts this verse with the words, “with all these things in mind.” All these things, in the context, refers to the rise of the antichrist and the events of the last days. While they were going through persecutions, etc., Paul told them to stand firm and hold firmly to his teaching.

Application:

As we live in these last days, we must listen to the words of Paul and remember to stand firm when others are faltering. We must hold onto what we believe with a strong grip. We can’t walk away from the foundations that have been laid for many generations. Now is not the time to give up or give in, but to remain strong in what we believe. As the day of Christ return comes closer, we must be prepared to endure some things, but we must be strong.

Prayer:

Father, empower me to stand firm and not give up on You or Your ways. Help me to keep a strong grip on You word as the world gets darker and darker. Walk with m Holy Spirit and lead my life. Show me the way forward each day. Help me to do exactly what You want each and every day.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

Trusting God Brings Prosperity

 Scripture:

“Greed causes fighting; trusting the Lord leads to prosperity.”  ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Trusting God is the cornerstone of life. We can work hard and be greedy for more, but that never brings peace and real prosperity. When we trust God rather than fighting to get ahead, He will prosper us and bring His children into a place of blessing.

Application:

Rather than fighting to get ahead, we are better off trusting God and allowing Him to lead us into prosperity. God knows how to take care of His people. He is the creator of the universe and we must understand that He knows our needs before we ever ask Him. He knows how to prosper those who trust Him. Our place is to trust God and work hard. He will take care of the rest.

Prayer:

Father, You are amazing and I want to trust You more each day. Teach me to look to You for my needs and not to be greedy. Let me not struggle and fight for more and more, but to trust You and let you bring me into a place of prosperity. Lead me Holy Spirit and let my life be a life marked by Your blessing.

Forever,

Jeff

Valid Criticism

 Scripture:

“To one who listens, valid criticism is like a gold earring or other gold jewelry.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭25‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Criticism is hard to take, but it is good to always listen to your critics and see if there is validity. In every pound of criticism, there is an ounce of truth. We must mine for the truth and grow from it. Valid criticism makes us better, mean criticism breaks our hearts.

Application:

I need to invite more criticism into my life and ministry. I want people around me who can speak truth into my life and help me become a better person and a better leader. Gold earrings and gold jewelry looks great, but the come through a refining process. Listening to our critics is part of that process.

Prayer:

Father, help me to listen better and more to my critics. Help me to glean truth in every criticism. Show me how to respond when criticized. I want to represent You well and want to react how You would react. Help me develop a culture where criticism is valued and accepted.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

Humility and the Fear of the Lord

 Scripture:

“True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.”  ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Solomon teaches us here that true humility and fear of the Lord bring about great things in our lives. They lead to riches, honor, and long life. He distinguishes TRUE humility. True humility and the fear of the Lord are linked. True humility realizes God is all-powerful and honors Him above all. When we fear God, we walk in humility before Him.

Application:

You can’t have a proper perspective of God and walk in pride. When you really know God, you fear God, which will always put you in a place of humility. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Everything starts and finishes with fearing the Lord. When we fear Him, we walk humbly before Him. We must learn the fear of the Lord and walk in humility before Him. When we do that, riches, honor, and long life are ahead of us.

Prayer:

Lord God Almighty, let me never take You for granted. Teach me the fear of the Lord and show me how to walk humbly before You on a daily basis. Show me the path You want me to take every day. I need You desperately. I submit myself into Your hands. Lead me, guide me, and direct my steps every day. Let my life lift You up and bring You praise.

LOVING to GIVE

 Scripture:

“Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!”  ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Solomon links godliness and giving in this passage. He says there are people who are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give. Human nature is very selfish and wants to receive continually rather than give. Giving is the nature of God, who sent His only Son to die in our place.

Application:

Giving puts a smile on your face, especially when you see the impact on people’s faces and in their eyes. Greedy people are seldom happy people. Usually the happiest people on earth are those who love to give and bless others. I want to be a generous person. I enjoy giving, but I want to move to where the Proverb says, where one LOVES to GIVE.

Prayer:

Father, make me a generous person. Let me live in a more generous way. You are an extremely generous God and I want to be like You in every way. Help me to move from being a giving person to LOVING GIVING. Enable me to be a blessing to others financially. I can’t give what I don’t have. Bless my life and let me have enough for us, and plenty to give away.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

Self-control and Waiting

 Scripture:

“Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

This Proverbs tells us that patience is better than power and self-control is better than conquering a city. In other words, patience can get you places that power wan’t get you and self-control can work just as effectively as war. When you walk in patience, self-control, and wisdom, you don’t have to fight.

Application:

I long to walk with the wise. I want to operate in wisdom, patience, and self-control. These are difficult in the flesh because our flesh like power and to rule. Patience allows God time to work instead of taking things into our own hands. I need to grow in learning wen to fight and when to wait. I want to walk in step with the Spirit on all things and walk in patience and restraint while I wait.

Prayer:

Lord God, help me to follow You well. Help me to trust You and not rush in to fix things all the time. Help me to trust that You will take care of me and that I don’t have to push so hard. Teach me to wait on You instead of moving ahead of You. Show me Your ways and let me walk in them completely.

Yours,

Jeff

Wisdom and Learning

 Scripture:

“Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more. ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

Solomon was known as the wisest man to ever live. God gave him supernatural wisdom. He says here that if you instruct the wise, they become even wiser. Teach the righteous and the will learn even more. In other words, wise people will continue to grow in wisdom and learn at every opportunity. When we stop learning, we stop growing. Wisdom always seeks growth.

Application:

We must seek continual learning and growth throughout our lives. We never want stagnate and get stopped up in our growth. We never want to think we are good where we are and have nothing new to learn. I want to have an insatiable desire to grow in wisdom and knowledge. I want to know the Lord and grow in my knowledge of Him. I want to know His word more every day. I don’t want to decline into old age, I want to grow wiser and more effective the older I get.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to follow You every day. Help me to know Your word better and to walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. As I grow older, help me learn to be wiser and more disciplined. Help me to accomplish more in my latter years than in my former years.

Yours Forever,

Jeff

Seek Wisdom

 Scripture;

“For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Observation:

In this chapter of Proverbs, wisdom is personified as crying out to those who will listen. In this particular verse, wisdom says, “whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.” In other words, those who find wisdom will walk enjoy life and walk in God’s favor. Wisdom is important to seek out.

Application:

I need to seek wisdom on everything I do. I want to walk with the wise and do all that God wants me to do. I want to see God’s favor and blessing on my life and therefore, I must walk in and seek wisdom at all times. I need to purse wisdom on every decision, thought, and direction. When faith and wisdom do not agree, I need to seek God to know what to do.

Prayer:

Lord God Almighty, You are the wisest of the wise. You are the creator of all things and the sustainer of all things. You are wisdom and I pursue You today. Teach me to walk in great wisdom and to know what to do each step of the way. Show me how to live out Your will in my life every day.

Yours,

Jeff
