Scripture:
“Those who see you will stare and wonder, “Is this the man who made the world tremble and shook up kingdoms?” Isaiah 14:16 CEV
Observation:
This is a very complex passage. Many believe there is a double meaning when speaking of this king. It is a picture os Lucifer, Satan, or the devil, as he is called each of these in the Bible. It speaks about the bright and morning star falling from heaven. It says here that one day people will look at him and wonder, “Is this the man who made the world tremble and shook up kingdoms?”
Application:
Satan has a big roar, but he is not as powerful as the credit we give to him. When he is revealed, we will be thinking, “Are you serious? That guy?” We need to see the enemy for that which he really is, a defeated foe. He has already been defeated by Christ. He is good at making himself appear powerful, but he is nothing compared to our God. I need to stop giving the devil too much credit.
Prayer:
Father, You are awesome and nothing compares to You. You have defeated Satan and when we see him, we will wonder how such a weakling accomplished so much. Help me to live in victory every day of my life and accomplish Your will in the earth.
Your Son,
Jeff
