Humility Wins

Scripture:

Matthew 23:12  "For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted".

Observation:

Jesus was talking here about the Scribes and Pharisees who loved to "look" holy on this earth, yet were far from walking in the Spirit.  He was saying that they were proud and that they would be humbled on day and those who were humble would be lifted up.

Application;

God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble and raises them up.  We need to never allow ourselves to get prideful.  Our greatest weapon is humility.  Humility wins!  It is God who has enabled us to do anything at all and He should be lifted up with our lives.  We need to learn to continually walk in humility, then God can bless us.

Prayer:

Lord God Almighty, You are awesome and I love you with all my heart.  Let Your Kingdom come in my life and let Your will be done.  Let me remain humble before You and walk in humility with others.
