When Giants Fall

Scripture:

I Chronicles 20:8  "These were descended from the giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants."

Observation:

David, when he was young, defeated Goliath, the giant from Gath.  Once he did this, it paved the way for everyone else and for him to do it again as well.  Once a victory has been won, there is faith that arises which tells us that we can do it again.  Once the first giant falls, it becomes easier for everyone to believe giants can be defeated.

Application:

For countless years, they thought it was impossible for anyone to run a four minute mile.  Once that time was broken, it opened the thoughts of everyone and now it is common for people to run a four minute mile.  Victory has a way of opening our minds to believe that something can be done.  We know, giants can fall and therefore we will see them fall.  We know that there have been two great awakenings in America and I know that we will see a third.

Prayer:

Father, send forth revival on this land one more time.  You have done it twice, now do it again.  Send a country changing revival that shakes this nation to it's core and changes the hearts of people   Open up the heavens and let the giants in our country be defeated.
