The Promise Keeper

Scripture:

I Chronicles 16:15  "He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations".

Observation:

God is the ultimate promise keeper!  He remembers His covenant forever and the promise He made for a thousand generations.  God doesn't give up on His promises.  He will do what He said He will do.  He is faithful, trustworthy, and will fulfill all that He said He would do.

Application:

If God is faithful to His promises, we should be faithful to Him.  He has promised us so much as His children.  Therefore, we should truly honor Him with all our heart.  We should do our best to really become promise keepers and be people of our word.   When we say something, it should happen.  When we make promises, we should follow through on them.

Prayer:

Father, You are faithful to Your word and to Your promises.  Help me to walk in faithfulness as well.  Teach me to honor my word as You honor Your word.  Strengthen my life to become more and more like You.  Happy Father's Day!
