Scripture:
“He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.””
Luke 10:16 NKJV
Observation:
When Jesus sent out the seventy, He told them to heal, preach and tell people the Kingdom of God is near them. He also told them that those who hear them, are hearing Him and those who reject them are rejecting Him.
Application:
Sometimes people reject us because of our personality or because they don’t understand us, but there are times when we are rejected because of the message we bring. Jesus said those who reject us, reject Him and Him who sent Him. Sometimes someone is rejecting God by rejecting us. We bear the brunt of it, but really they are mad at God and not us. We must realize that rejection is not always of us personally.
Prayer:
Father, teach me to deal with rejection. I want to be strong in this area, yet tender towards people. Help me become more like You. You were despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Enable me to see this how You see this and to be strong in my walk with You.
Yours Forever,
Jeff

Love and Forgiveness
Scripture:
“Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.””
Luke 7:47 NKJV
Observation:
In this passage, Jesus is defending Mary, who had just broken open a box of alabaster perfume and anointed His feet. She washed His feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. She loved much because she was forgiven much. Some love little because they have been forgiven little. People who were in prison appreciate freedom more than those who haven’t been there.
Application:
I don’t want my love level to be determined by how much I have been forgiven. I want to love God because of who He is and not just because He gave me a better life. I don’t want my love level to be based on my forgiveness level. I want to break that and demonstrate extravagant love from my heart. I got saved very early and don’t have a terrible testimony, but my sins were just as bad as anyone else’s. Sin is sin and we have all been forgiven much. I want to love God like someone who has been forgiven much.
Prayer:
Lord, let my love for You increase every say. Help me to never lose my passion for Your and Your kingdom. Let it increase and not decrease. I want to show You love like someone who came from a terrible past. You have been incredible to me and I want to show my love for You daily.
Yours,
Jeff

The Same Measure
Scripture:
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.””
Luke 6:38 NKJV
Observation:
Jesus told His disciples to give and it would be given back to them then He added this simple statement, “For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” He was saying that if His people were givers, they would also be receivers and that the same measure would be given back to them. Our receiving in linked proportionately to our giving.
Application:
God wants His people to be generous. Giving is a huge part of the teachings of Scripture. When we obey God in this area, we are blessed. When we are stingy, we won’t see the blessings of God flowing in our lives. When we are generous, people will be generous with us. Giving people always have enough. Abraham was told “I will bless you and make you a blessing”. It has always been in God’s nature to bless His people, but the purpose is that they will be a blessing. I want to bless more people today. Notice we give first, then it comes back. We are the initiators of the blessings.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for blessing my life. You have blessed me so many times and in so many ways. You are faithful to Your word and You do give back when Your people give. Help me to give in faith that You will make sure I’m given back to. I trust You in this, but help me to trust You more.
Yours,
Jeff

The Intro of Jesus
Scripture:
“John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
Luke 3:16 NKJV
Observation:
John the Baptist saw Jesus and introduced Him to the world by saying, “I indeed baptize you with water...He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” The first introduction of Jesus to the world when He was of age to begin His ministry introduced Him as the one who would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. In other words, this is a primary purpose of why He came.
Application:
We should be asking Jesus to do what he came to do. We should be asking Him to baptize people in the Holy Spirit and in fire. We need to cry out to God to baptize our generation in the Holy Spirit and fire. I need to emphasize this purpose of Jesus more and more. It is what He came and I must preach why He came. I desire to see a people who are constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit and fire who are setting the world on fire.
Prayer:
Father, send Your Spirit and baptize me again with fire. I want all of You in my life I can handle. Let my life be consumed with You. Fill me. Baptize me. I want to walk with You and reflect You well in my generation. Let me be completely Yours.
Yours Forever,
Jeff

Obedience Brings Blessing
Scripture:
“Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.”
Leviticus 26:8 NKJV
Observation:
At the beginning of this portion of scripture it says that if God’s children obey Him and His word there would be many blessings that would come upon them. The above verse was one of those blessings. God promises that those who are walking in obedience to Him would be protected by Him. He says that He will empower His people so that five chase a hundred and a hundred put ten thousand to flight. He finishes by saying that our enemies will fall by the sword in front of us.
Application:
When we are truly serving the Lord and doing His will, He has the ability to take care of us. When God is for us, who can be against us? God promises here that when we walk in obedience to Him, He will take care of our enemies and we will have great victory over them. This is a promise from the Lord. Our job is to follow Him completely, His job is to defeat our enemies. We are promised incredible victory when we follow the Lord’s ways.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for taking care of Your children. You are faithful and powerful. There is nobody like You. Help me to follow You completely and to walk according to Your ways. Let my family see Your victory. Let my church see Your victory. Let those around me see Your victory. Defeat every enemy assigned against me, my family and Your Church.
Yours,
Jeff

Freewill Offerings
Scripture:
“And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, offer it of your own free will.”
Leviticus 22:29 NKJV
Observation:
God says here that when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, we should do it of our own free will. This is after He said it must be done. The first thing I see is that there were thanksgiving sacrifices, secondly, they were to be done of our own free will.
Application:
When God does something in our lives, we should offer Him a sacrifice of thanksgiving. I love my Indian friends who will gather people together and have a special time of thanksgiving God does something good in their lives. It is beautiful to see them, of their own free will, bring people together and feed them and honor the Lord with their testimony. I want to offer God sacrifices of thanksgiving when He works in my life and I want to do it of my own free will, not because it is demanded.
Prayer:
Father, You have been so good to me. You have blessed my life over and over again. You are amazing and I love You wholeheartedly. Help me to offer You a sacrifice of Thanksgiving freely when You work in my life. Help me to testify more and more of Your goodness. I really do appreciate You. Help me to express it better.

Consecration and Sanctification
Scripture:
“Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God. And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the LORD who sanctifies you.”
Leviticus 20:7-8 NKJV
Observation:
As Moses was giving the Law to the people of God, he tells them to consecrate themselves and be holy because the LORD is holy. He tells them to keep His statutes and then declares, “I am the LORD who sanctifies you.” We do the consecration, He does the sanctification.
Application:
As God’s children and as a royal priesthood and holy nation, we need to consecrate our lives to Him. Consecration is what we do for Him, sanctification is what He does for us. As we consecrate our lives by living a life that is pure and holy and walking in obedience to Him, He always sets us apart, which is what sanctification is. He sets us apart when we put Him first and fully give our lives to Him.
Prayer:
Father, I consecrate my life to You. You are worthy of it all! You are worthy of my very best! I surrender to Your will at all times. Sanctify my life and set me apart for Your service and Your kingdom. Let my life be completely separated for You and Your purposes in my generation. I offer all that I am to You.
Yours,
Jeff

There is Life in Obedience
Scripture:
“You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the LORD.”
Leviticus 18:5 NKJV
Observation:
Leviticus is a long recitation of the laws of God and how He wanted His people to live. There were 613 laws in the Old Testament. These laws were not made simply to make God’s people miserable. They were actually, according to this verse, so that man will live. God wanted to protect His people and He knew if they did certain things, they would hurt themselves, therefore He made laws so they could LIVE.
Application:
Any good parent tells their child about things that will hurt them. A good parent knows that certain decisions will produce undesirable results. Therefore the parent forbids the child from doing certain things, not to be mean, but because they want their children to live and have a good life. God deals with us the same way. He wants us safe and there is safety in obedience. When we follow God wholeheartedly and walk in obedience, we will also have a good life.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for showing me this today. You love me and want what’s best for me. Help me to see that Your restrictions are for my benefit and not to simply make my life hard or to forbid certain things. In Your love for me, You set boundaries. Help me to stay within Your boundaries for my life that I may live.
Yours,
Jeff

Jesus Was Touched by the Unclean
Scripture:
“‘If a woman has a discharge of blood for many days, other than at the time of her customary impurity, or if it runs beyond her usual time of impurity, all the days of her unclean discharge shall be as the days of her customary impurity. She shall be unclean. Every bed on which she lies all the days of her discharge shall be to her as the bed of her impurity; and whatever she sits on shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her impurity. Whoever touches those things shall be unclean; he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.”
Leviticus 15:25-27 NKJV
Observation:
We love the story of the woman with an issue of blood. It is a powerful story of faith and power flowing from Jesus. This woman was considered “unclean” for years. Everything she touched was to be considered unclean. Whoever touched the things she touched were to be considered unclean. When she touched Jesus, she made Him unclean, but He didn’t mind. Rather than condemning her for making Him unclean, He blessed her for her faith and called her daughter.
Application:
When Jesus had to choose between the Law and people, He always chose to touch people. He would go out of His way to touch people, even when it meant making Himself ceremonially unclean. His love for people made Him break the Law quite often. I need to understand the love of God at a higher level in my life. I want to be accused of loving people who are unclean, impure and considered dirty by the world.
Prayer:
Father, would You begin to let my life impact those who society has rejected. Send me the broken, hurting and those who are considered dirty by others. Let my life be used like Christ to give hope to the hopeless and life to those whose life seems destroyed. Let lives be turned around in our church an din our region. Let those who have been rejected by society meet Jesus and let them know the love of god through my life.
Your Son,
Jeff

Regarded as Holy
Scripture:
“And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the LORD spoke, saying: ‘By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.’ ” So Aaron held his peace.”
Leviticus 10:3 NKJV
Observation:
Nadab and Abihu had offered profane fire to the Lord, which the Lord had not told them to do. They were killed by the LORD for this and then the LORD said, “By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; and before all the people I must be glorified.” Gos is holy and His people can’t take Him lightly. He is awesome and powerful and must be feared. You don’t play with God.
Application:
God must be reverenced by us, for He is holy. He is highly exalted and His commands are not to be lightly treated. Today, we see God as all loving, which is correct about His nature, but He is also a holy God who is to be feared by His people. I need to reverence the Lord more and honor His presence in my everyday life. He is worthy of my very best.
Prayer:
Lord God Almighty, You are holy, righteous, and mighty. There is no other god like You. You are worthy of my highest praise and my best-lived life. Help me to walk in a way that pleases and honors Your name. Teach me to walk with You each and every day. Let my life bring You honor. Help me to fear You and reverence Your holy name.
Yours,
Jeff

The Glory Falls on Obedience
Scripture:
“And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people, and fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.”
Leviticus 9:23-24 NKJV
Observation:
Moses and Aaron did everything the Lord had spoken to Moses, exactly as He was told by the Lord. They didn’t leave out one detail. When they, and Aaron’s sons, had done everything the Lord had prescribed to them, they blessed the people and then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people, fire came out from the Lord and consumed the burnt offering. When the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
Application:
The glory falls on obedience. When we do things God’s ways, we get God results. God is looking for a people who will do His will in the earth instead of their own will. He is looking for a people who will be completely His. I want to see the glory of the Lord in my generation and I realize it will take complete obedience in every area.
Prayer:
Father, I want to see Your glory. I want to see You work in my generation in ways that nobody can argue. I want to see Your glory come to the level that everyone shouts and falls on their faces before Your presence. I long to see You move in power and great might. Help me to walk in obedience to Your desires. Help me to live a life that You can bless with Your presence more and more. I want to be completely Yours. Let Your glory manifest in my life, my church and my region.

Keep The Fire Burning
Scripture:
“And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.”
Leviticus 6:12 NKJV
Observation:
God told the priests they had to keep the fire for the fur to offering going. It was never to go out. They were to put wood on it every morning and the burnt offering was to continually be on the fire. God burned up the sacrifices, but the priests had to keep the fire burning.
Application:
In the New Covenant, we are a kingdom of priests. Our lives are to continually be offered to the Lord. We no longer have to bring burnt offerings or peace offerings or go through all the detail that our forefathers had to because of the blood of Jesus Christ. Now we offer our lives as a sacrifice. Our job is to live in continual surrender and sacrifice before the Lord. It is our job to keep the fire burning by stirring up the gifts that are within us. I need to keep my fire burning brightly for the Lord and that is up to me, not Him.
Prayer:
Father, keep my fire burning bright. Help me to live a sacrificial lifestyle before You. I lay myself on Your altar and ask You to consume my life. Let my fire never weaken, but grow stronger and stronger. Teach me to walk with You more and more. teach me to hear Your voice and walk according to Your ways. Fill me with Your Spirit every day and show me what steps to take along the way.

Offer God Your Best
Scripture:
“‘If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD.”
Leviticus 1:3 NKJV
Observation:
When God is giving instructions about bringing sacrifices and offering to the Lord, He goes into detail about how it should happen. A man needs to offer a male that has no blemish and it needs to be given of his own free will.
Application:
As New Testament believers, we don’t have to bring lambs and goats, but we should still offer our very best to God freely. When we come to God, we should not be looking for something, but offering our lives as a pure sacrifice that is set apart for Him. God doesn’t deserve our leftovers, He deserves our very best. He willingly gave His Son for us, we must willingly lay down our lives at the altar of sacrifice and give ourselves completely to Him.
Prayer:
Father, let my life be without spot or blemish. I lay it down before You as an offering. I give You my life and I say let it be used for Your purposes in the earth. Help me to live a life that puts You first and offers You the continual sacrifice of my life and my all. I offer all that I am freely Lord for Your kingdom.
Yours Forever,
Jeff

Watch
Scripture:
“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—”
Mark 13:35 NKJV
Observation:
Jesus was describing His Second coming to His disciples. He explained it like a man who went to a far country and would return one day, but nobody would know when he was coming. He told them to watch, because they didn’t know when the master would come again. They were to remain alert at all times.
Application:
We need to walk in readiness and preparedness for the coming of the Lord. We are living in the last days. That is very cleat from Scripture. Now is the time to WATCH. I need to be looking for His appearing more and more as the day approaches. It is time to be more focused on building His kingdom right now than every before. When He comes back, may He find me advancing His kingdom all over the earth.
Prayer:
Lord God Almighty, You are incredible and I love You with all my heart. Help me to be more focused on You and Your coming again. I can look at Your Word and know Your coming is soon. Help. Me to be prepared and preparing others. I see what is going on in the world around me and I know Your coming is soon.
Watching and Waiting,
Jeff
“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—”

Believe that You Receive
Scripture:
“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
Mark 11:24 NKJV
Observation:
Jesus was teaching His disciples some things about faith and prayer. He had cursed a fig tree the day before and the disciples noticed it was withered when they came by the next day. They asked Him about it and He said that if they had faith like a grain of mustard seed they could speak to a mountain and tell it to move and it would move. Then He added, “whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Faith is believing you receive, even though you don’t see them yet. This leads to actually having those things you prayed for.
Application:
Without faith it is impossible to please God. I want to be a man of faith. I want to pray prayers that get answered. I want to take Jesus at His word and believe what He said. I believe with all my heart that Jesus meant the things He said and He said things like this often. When I pray for something, I want to believe that I receive it and then have it, not according to my word, but the word of Jesus.
Prayer:
Lord, increase my faith to believe that I receive the things I pray for. Teach me this more and more. Help me to understand the things You said when You were with us. Help me to live a life of faith that pleases You completely. I am Yours and want to live Your teachings. Increase my faith and help me to believe that I receive what I pray for.
Yours,
Jeff

Mindful of the Right Things
Scripture:
“But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.””
Mark 8:33 NKJV
Observation:
Jesus had ask His disciples who the world was saying He was. They told Him that some of them thought He was Elijah or one of the prophets, or John the Baptist. Jesus took them deeper and asked who they thought He was. Peter answered and said He was the Christ. Jesus began to teach them about His death and resurrection and Peter argued that Christ would not die. Jesus said Peter was not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.
Application:
Peter was very perceptive spiritually at one moment and shortly thereafter, he was wrong and Jesus rebuked him for it. Peter was not mindful of the things of God, but of men. I want to be more mindful of the things of the spirit and what is going on spiritually. I don’t want to be wrapped up in what man thinks or what reasoning makes sense. I want my mind stayed on the things of the Spirit.
Prayer:
Father, make me more mindful of what You are doing around me. Help me to see with spiritual eyes that are opened by You and Your Spirit. Teach me to walk in Your ways and Your paths. I want to see things from Your perspective and not what makes sense to me.
Yours,
Jeff

Use What You Have
Scripture:
“Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.”
Mark 4:24 NKJV
Observation:
Jesus told His disciples the parable of the seed being sown on the different types of soil. He added this simple, yet powerful statement with it. “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and you who hear, more will be given.” In this statement, I see that hearing and using what you hear are closely associated. More comes to those who do what they learn.
Application:
If we want a greater measure of the Lord and His word, we must do what He says. Greater measure comes to those who do something with what they are taught. As you use what you are taught, more is given. We need to be doers of the word and not hearers only. We need to read to do instead of read to learn. We need to focus more on implementing what we read instead of just learning from what we read.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for speaking to me this morning. Help me to use what You have given me to help someone else today. Help me to be more focused on learning to implement, then just learning for information and revelation sake. I want to be active in Your kingdom, doing the works You did when You were here on earth. Let me grow in this.
Yours,
Jeff

Sick People Need Jesus
Scripture:
“When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.””
Mark 2:17 NKJV
Observation:
Jesus was accused by the religious people of spending time with tax collectors and sinners. They were confronting His disciples about why he would hang out with such bad people. Jesus heard it and said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” What powerful words.
Application:
Jesus had no problem with shining His light in darkness. He had no problem with being around sinners and bad people. He knew why He came and it kept Him on His mission. He always had an answer to the Pharisees who came against Him. I need to think about how to get out into the world more in 2020 instead of being trapped inside the walls of a church. I want to be more like Jesus.
Prayer:
Lord, I want to be more like You. Help me to reach more people in 2020 than any year in my life. Show me how to connect with sinners and ungodly people. Let my light shine brighter and brighter this year and let me represent You well.
Yours,
Jeff

Complete Obedience and the Glory
Scripture:
“Thus Moses did; according to all that the LORD had commanded him, so he did.”
Exodus 40:16 NKJV
Observation:
In the passage above, it says that Moses did according to all that the LORD had commanded him. God had given extremely detailed plans and processes to Moses and he did each of them exactly as the LORD had given them to him. At the end of this chapter, the glory of the LORD comes upon the Tabernacle and a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire led them from that point onward.
Application:
Complete obedience for Moses equaled the glory of the LORD coming upon the work of His hands. When we do things God’s way, we will get God results. When we work hard to do things exactly as the LORD would want them, we will see His glory more and more. God puts his glory on our obedience. I don’t want to move ahead of God in any area of my life. I need to slow down and get exact instructions and do them before I do anything else. I want to see the LORD’s glory.
Prayer:
Father, I want to honor You with my life. I want do things Your way as Moses did. Help me to stop trying to do what others are doing or what I think needs to be done and simply do what You ask me to do. Teach me to hear Your voice above all else and to seek Your face more. Help me to obey You to the level of detail that Moses did.
Yours,
Jeff

God Prepares People For What is Needed
Scripture:
““And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the LORD has commanded.””
Exodus 36:1 NKJV
Observation:
As the people of Israel are preparing to build the Tabernacle, the Lord says that specific people in whom God had put wisdom and understanding to know how to do things, should assemble what the Lord had spoken to Moses. God had prepared the people and gifted them with what was needed before the time the Tabernacle needed built. They didn’t need on the job training because God had already gifted them and trained them for what needed done.
Application:
There may be some people who already have been trained and prepared to help us grow and develop as a church and ministry who are sitting among us. God may be preparing people right now so that they can step up at the right time to take things to the next level. God is not surprised by our needs, He has been preparing people to take care of them before we even needed them. I need to learn to trust that God has been working in pulling things together for the advancement of His kingdom.
Prayer:
Father, You are my king, my guide, my Lord, and my God. You are my everything! Teach me to trust You more and to know that nothing takes You by surprise. You have our next worship leader. You have the next positions necessary to grow our church and ministry. You have the people who are needed to accomplish everything You put in my heart. Let them come forth and let me recognize them when they come.
Yours,
Jeff

Who is the Lord?
Scripture:
“And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.””
Exodus 34:6-7 NKJV
Observation:
On Moses second trip up the mountain to have God rewrite the tablets of the Law that Moses had broken in anger because of the people’s rebellion, God proclaimed Himself to Moses. It says that the Lord proclaimed, or introduced Himself as, “The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin”
Application:
We should see God how God sees Himself. When God introduced Himself to Moses He said He was merciful and gracious, long suffering, full of goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity and sin. It does say that He visits the iniquity of the father on the children to the third and fourth generation, but He introduces Himself as an incredibly loving, forgiving, kind, compassionate, God who forgives sin and iniquity. We need to see God for who He is instead of someone up in heaven who loves to punish us for our wrongdoing. He is truly a loving Father who walks in incredible long suffering with us.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being kind and generous with Your forgiveness and love. Help me to be more like You. Teach me to hate sin, but love people like You do. Teach me to be merciful and full of truth. Help me to abound in goodness and truth as You do.
Yours,
Jeff

Trusting the Next Generation
Scripture:
“So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.”
Exodus 33:11 NKJV
Observation:
This scripture tells us that Moses spoke to God in the Tabernacle face to face as a man speak to his friend, then he would go back to the camp, but Joshua would stay at the tabernacle. Joshua didn’t want to leave the presence of the Lord. He hungered and thirsted after the Lord. I believe this is what Moses and the Lord saw in Joshua above all else, that brought him to be leader when Moses left the scene.
Application:
God promotes those who linger in His presence and can’t get enough of Him. As a leader I need to look at who is lingering in the presence of the Lord after service when everyone else is going home. Finding the next great leader isn’t done by looking at their credentials, but their passion for the presence of God. I need to focus on those who stay around the altars and not those who seem to have potential.
Prayer:
Father, help me to not see as man sees, but to look at the heart. Help me to see the ones who stay after and continue to seek You when service is over. Let me see those who can be trusted because they are spending time in Your presence. I want to raise up leaders who have a heart after God.
Your Son,
Jeff

The Ministry of the Priest
Scripture:
“So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests.”
Exodus 28:41 NKJV
Observation:
Throughout these three chapters, God tells His people how to consecrate the priests, the Tabernacle, the utensil, etc. What stood out to me this morning was the purpose of the Priest being sanctified, “that they may minister to Me as priests.” The ministry of the priest is really a ministry to the Lord and therefore must be totally pure and holy.
Application:
In the NT we are a kingdom of priests who have been separated by God to do His will in the earth. We must allow God to sanctify us and prepare us to minister before Him. Many times, we want to be anointed to minister to people, but our primary purpose is to minister to the Lord. Ministering to Him would mean doing His will, walking according to His ways, and fulfilling His purposes. When we minister to the Lord, He will do the hard work.
Prayer:
Father, help me to minister to You in holiness and righteousness. Teach me to walk with You and to live a separated life. In the OT, the priest had to wear special garments to stand out as someone who ministered to the Lord. Let my life stand out for You and Your kingdom.
Yours Forever,
Jeff

That I May Dwell Among Them
Scripture:
“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”
Exodus 25:8 NKJV
Observation:
God was speaking to Moses about what to build and how to build everything as it relates to the Tabernacle. God’s purpose for the specific detail He was giving Moses was “that I am dwell among them.” God has always desired to dwell among His people and to be their God.
Application:
God wants to dwell amongst us more than we want Him to. He goes through extreme detail so a place would be made where He could be with His people. In the New Testament, we are called the Temple of the Holy Spirit and a kingdom of priests. God went through great pain to send His Son so that we could be in His presence and walk with Him. We must honor Him for this and thank God for sending His Son to make it possible. He is “God with us”.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making a way for me to be Yours and for me to have access to You at all times. You are incredible and I appreciate Your goodness. Let me more and more Yours as I follow You with all my heart. Let my life reflect the fact that I have been with You. Please heal my body today and take away the sickness.

Little by Little
Scripture:
“Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.”
Exodus 23:30 NKJV
Observation:
God is speaking here to the people of Israel. He told them they would inherit the promised land, but that He wouldn’t give them the whole thing at once because the wild animals would take over before they inhabited it. Rather, God said, “little by little” He would give them the land. Sometimes God gives us His blessings little by little.
Application:
I love to see quick fruit. I love it when God does an unbelievable work and we see a quick work. I love to see the church grow quickly and impact its region in a short time. God tends to work with His people little by little. I need to learn to be okay with little by little. I have big vision and want to see God’s kingdom extended all over the earth. God wants it as well, but I have to realize that God will often work little by little because we are not able to handle the capacity He is bestowing on us yet. I need to trust God that His plan is happening little by little.
Prayer:
Lord, help me be okay with little by little. Help me to be faithful and do what You say whether I see what I consider to be good and quick results or not. Teach me not to compare with others, but to fulfill Your calling on my life. Let me see the little by little blessings and keep moving forward.

A Kingdom of Priests
Scripture:
“And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.””
Exodus 19:6 NKJV
Observation:
God was speaking to Moses about the people he was leading and their relationship with God. God was telling Moses what He wanted. His desire was that Israel be “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” In Revelation, we see that God calls us a kingdom of priests. God has always desired a people who would serve Him as a kingdom of priests.
Application:
In the New Testament we are called a royal priesthood and a holy nation. In Revelation we are seen as a kingdom of priests for the Lord. God’s desire has always been to have a purified, set apart, people who were fully and completely His. My job is to live a sanctified life and step into that priestly role. I daily want to come to the altar of sacrifice and live a life that is fully devoted to the Lord.
Prayer:
Father, I want to live as a priest in Your kingdom. I want to live separated from the world and dedicated to You and Your purposes. Help me to live a sanctified life, completely abandoned to Your will and desires. Once again this morning, I give myself to You. Let Your purposes and plans come forth for my life.
Yours,
Jeff

According to the Need
Scripture:
“So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need.”
Exodus 16:18 NKJV
Observation:
When God sent manna to feed His people in the wilderness, he sent them exactly what they needed. “He who gathered much, had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.” Each of them gathered according to their own needs. God supplied the need of each family by giving them exactly what they needed. He didn’t give too much or too little.
Application:
We love scriptures like, “and my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.” The reality is, God gives us what we need. He loves to supply for our needs and this allows us to learn to trust Him daily. He wants us to live by faith and watch Him take care of us. We like to have security and plan for tomorrow. God wants us to live by faith that He will give us what we need when we need it.
Prayer:
Father, help me to live by faith, trusting You to do each day what is necessary for that day. I would love to get ahead and live a life of ease, but that doesn’t make me trust You. Help me to live with discipline, plan well, but trust You to take care of my life and my family.
Yours,
Jeff

The Lord Who Heals
Scripture:
“and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.””
Exodus 15:26 NKJV
Observation:
The people of Israel had just crossed the Red Sea and watched Egypt’s army drown in the Sea. They were celebrating the goodness of God. He had just caused bitter waters to be made sweet for them so they could drink. God was letting them know they could trust Him and He would take care of them. He promises them that if they will obey His statutes and commands He would put no diseases on them and then declares Himself to be the LORD who heals them.
Application:
God, when speaking of Himself, called Himself the LORD who heals you. He has always taken care of His own. If He can deliver His people from Egyptian bondage and heal them in the wilderness, He can definitely take care of me and heal me of whatever needs I have. I want to know the Lord more and more as my healer. I love doctors, but I have a covenant with the great physician. One of His descriptive names is my healer. I want to walk in healing in a greater level this year.
Prayer:
Lord, heal me and heal Your people. Increase my faith in this area and let me know You as the Lord my healer. You have healed me many times, let that not stop, but increase in my life, my family, and my church. Heal Your people Lord, that we may declare Your goodness to the whole world. You are the best,
Jeff
