Scripture:
Genesis 22:18 "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice".
Observation:
Abraham was willing to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice to the Lord. Without hesitation, when the Lord spoke to him to offer his promised son as a sacrifice to the Lord, Abraham started the process. Because Abraham obeyed the voice of God, he was blessed and through his seed, we are blessed. Blessing follows obedience.
Application:
Everyone wants the blessings of Abraham on their lives. He was blessed beyond measure, wealthy, had miracles happen in his life, etc. We love to see the blessings on someone's life, but blessing follows obedience. Usually when you see someone who is strongly blessed by God, they have been obedient in some tough things along the way. Obedience brings blessing!
Prayer:
Father God, help me to obey your voice and not ask for your blessings without being obedient. Help me walk in obedience at all times. I want to walk with you and talk with you daily. I want to do your will in the earth. Help me stay on track and do your will.

Abraham always showed instant obedience to God. His swift action on keeping God's covenant in chap 17 and on sacrificing his own son in chap 22, shows how much faith he has in God. It is because of his instant obedience, God's blessings passed on to many generations. Instant obedience causes a ripple effect of blessings.

Good word Anne! Instant obedience bring blessing. I know I am guilty of obedience, but waiting before obeying.
