Praise Goes First

Scripture:

Numbers 2:9  "All those listed of the camp of Judah, by their companies, were 186,400.  They shall set out first on the march".

Observation:

When God was setting up who would camp where for the people of Israel, there was a definite order to everything He did.  God is a God of order.  When it was time to move from one place to another, He placed Judah as first in line.  Judah means "praise".  When God's people were going to move from one place to another, praise went before them.

Application:

God loves our praise and worship.  As His followers, we should realize that praise should go before anything we do.  When God wants to move us from one place to another, we need to praise Him.  Praise should precede everything we do and everywhere we go.  We need to be a people of praise.

Prayer:

Father, let me be one who praises You.  Let Your praise fill my mouth at all times.  You are awesome and You go before me.  You are worthy to be praised!  Your praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Your Son,
Jeff
