Reminder on How to Live

Scripture:

Titus 3:1-2 "Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone".

Observation:

Paul is writing to his son in the faith Titus.  He is encouraging him to remain faithful and to teach sound doctrine as well as to appoint people into leadership positions who are living a lifestyle that will back up their ministry.  Here he give a list of things Titus is to remind the people of.  Be subject to authority, be obedient, do good, don't slander, be a peacemaker, be considerate and be gentle.

Application:

If we would take this reminder about how to live and put it into practice each day, we would have wonderful lives.  Basically it is telling us to obey authority and live in peace.  When we do that, life is much less stressful and things always seem to work out so much better.  He reminds us to treat people with honor and to live a good life.  We need to implement these reminders in to our daily lives.

Prayer:

Lord, let me lead a simple life of submission and good works.  Help me to serve You well and represent You well on this earth.  Teach me to walk in peace with all men and to be considerate of others.  Help me have a gentle spirit through troubled times.

Yours,
Jeff
