Mere Humans

Scripture:

I Corinthians 3:3  "You are still worldly.  For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?  Are you not acting like mere humans?"

Observation:

Paul is writing to the Corinthians about their behavior as believers.  He just finished calling them babies who have not grown up, then he goes on to describe their behavior of jealousy and quarreling.  He closes his statements concerning this with a question: "Are you not acting like mere humans?".  In other words, we are not suppose to act like everyone else...We are not to be like "mere humans".

Application:

As believers, we are not suppose to live like everyone else around us.  They are mere humans!  We have been given the Spirit of God to live within us.  We are not mere humans, but children of the living God with the Holy Spirit controlling our lives if we let Him.  We are not to live like mere humans, our lives should stand out in the crowd!

Prayer:

Lord God Almighty, help me not to live like a mere human any more.  Help me live a supernatural life in every way because I serve a supernatural God who empowers me to live for Him.  Teach me to walk in the Spirit and not live like a mere human.

Yours,
Jeff
