Scripture:
Micah 4:2 "Many nations will come and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in His paths'".
Observation:
The heart of God has always been for the nations of the world. In this reference, it is speaking about the last days. In the last days, it says, "many nations" will want to go to the house of the Lord. Many nations will want to learn his ways and walk in his paths. Though in the Old Testament God deals much with Israel, His heart for all nations is seen very clearly.
Application:
I'm thinking this morning about an old song we would sing as kids. "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world." If God's heart is for the nations, then our heart must also be for the salvation of the nations. May we share Christ, not only with those who look like us, but with all the children of the world. May we plant churches and build His kingdom in every nation of the world.
Prayer:
Father, As you bless me, I will be a blessing to the nations. Bless Word of Life and Hearts for the Harvest, that we may be a blessing to the nations. May many nations hear the word of the Lord through those raised up here in Northern Virginia.
Yours Forever,
Jeff
