Scripture:
““ ‘ “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’ “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”” Numbers 6:24-27 NIV
Observation:
This blessing was given to Aaron as a way for him to bless the people of Israel. God told him to do it and He would put His name on them and would bless them. God’s blessing follows obedience. When we obey His patterns and instructions, we receive His blessings.
Application:
We are all considered priests in God’s kingdom now. We are a kingdom of priests. Therefore, we can pronounce this incredible blessing over people’s lives. When we do, God promises to bless them. We need to speak blessings from our mouth and not curses. We need to release the goodness of God on people instead of curses. What we say is so important. I want my mouth to be filled with blessings and not curses.
Prayer:
Lord God Almighty, let Your praises be always on my lips and Your ways in my thoughts. Help me to walk in a way that pleases You. Let my mouth be a speaker of Your blessings and not curses. Help me to use my mouth wisely. Show me more. Take me deeper. I long to walk with You closely.
Forever Yours,
Jeff
