Don’t Judge or Condemn, but Forgive

 Scripture:

““Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭37‬ ‭NET‬‬

Observation:

These words from Jesus are powerful and practical. We receive three commands, in the midst of others from Jesus. These three come with commentary. We are told by the Master not to judge, not to condemn, and to forgive. The promises are that we will not be judged, not be condemned, and will be forgiven. The benefits of these three decisions are powerful.

Application:

As for me, I don’t want to be judged by others, condemned by others, and I want to be forgiven by others. Therefore, I have to give these three away to those around me. I will receive what I give. I want to be a person who God can bless. I want to walk in joy and peace. I want to do to others what I want them to do to me. I need God’s help to accomplish this kind of living.

Prayer:

Lord God, help me to live like You want me to live. Help me not to judge, or condemn people. I want to leave that in Your hands. Help me to forgive quickly and completely, like I want to be forgiven. Teach me to walk in step with You at all times. Show me how to live this kingdom life every moment of every day. Let my life bring You glory as I endeavor to walk in Your ways.
