Scripture:
“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”” Revelation 7:9-10 NLT
Observation:
John the Revelator saw a vast crowd that was so huge it couldn’t be counted. They were from all over the earth, and they were standing in front of the throne of God and before Jesus. They cried out, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” These were the saints of God worshiping the Almighty.
Application:
Worship is what God has always wanted from His people and in the end, worship is what He will get. My job in this is to fill out the crowd and make it vast. Our job is to reach people around the globe with the Good News of Jesus so they can worship Him on this day described by John. My job is to make the crowd and vast crowd. I want to lead more people to Christ in my latter years than in my former years.
Prayer:
Lord God Almighty, I look forward to worshiping around Your throne. It will be the joy of my heart to one day stand before You and bring You what You deserve. Empower me now to make the crowd and vast crowd from every nation, tribe, and language. Show me the right doors and provide the resources for us to touch more nations with Your Gospel. You’re my reason for living.
Your Son,
Jeff
